This time, I’m setting off on a fantastic cruise to Greenland and Canada aboard the Carnival Pride, sailing from Baltimore, MD. This hotel provides a modern, stylish experience, and I’m looking forward to unwinding in a comfortable, well-appointed stateroom before setting sail.

And, of course, no trip to Baltimore is complete without trying the famous Maryland crab cakes! Whether from a casual seafood shack or a high-end restaurant, I’ll be on the hunt for the best jumbo lump crab cake before we embark.

Nanortalik, meaning “Place of Polar Bears,” is Greenland’s southernmost town. It is known for its dramatic fjords, floating icebergs, and rich Inuit history. I plan to visit the Nanortalik Open-Air Museum to learn more about Greenlandic culture and soak in the stunning remote scenery right from our Carnival Pride balcony cabin.

Qaqortoq, Greenland

Qaqortoq is often called Greenland’s most picturesque town, thanks to its colorful houses, rolling hills, and scenic waterfront. I can’t wait to explore the Stone & Man sculptures, try traditional Greenlandic cuisine, and, if possible, visit the hot springs of Uunartoq for a unique arctic wellness retreat.

St. Anthony, Newfoundland & Labrador

St. Anthony is famous for iceberg viewing and Viking history. I plan to explore L’Anse aux Meadows, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing a Norse Viking settlement from over 1,000 years ago. I’m also hoping for whale-watching opportunities, as this area is home to humpback and fin whales!

Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador

Corner Brook, located on the western side of Newfoundland, is surrounded by breathtaking fjords and mountains. Captain Cook’s Lookout is a must-visit spot where the famous explorer mapped the coast. I’ll also take time to relax by Glynmill Inn Pond and take in Newfoundland’s beauty.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

Sydney is the gateway to Cape Breton Island, home to some of Canada’s most stunning coastal landscapes. I’m excited to visit the Fortress of Louisbourg, a fully reconstructed 18th-century French fort, and try some fresh Nova Scotia lobster!
